Padma Parthasarathy Chief Financial Officer

Padma Parthasarathy is the Chief Financial Officer and a Board Member of SEF, USA.
Padma Parthasarathy is the Chief Financial Officer of Sankara Eye Foundation, USA. She has been associated with SEF, USA for 24 years, almost since its inception. In 1999, she and her husband, Jawaher, attended a flute concert hosted by SEF, USA. Moved by the cause, the couple signed up as volunteers for one of SEF, USA’s initial drives to raise funds for 2000 eye surgeries. “It has been a humbling experience to see the organization grow into what it is today”, she says.

When You Are Down, Lift Someone Up!

Padma began taking care of the accounts and working with external auditors in 2000 and eventually grew into the role of CFO. “As an engineer by profession, it was a great learning experience for me to take up the challenge of doing the financials of the organization” she adds.

Besides financials, Padma has also been involved with the strategy, planning, and growth of the organization. “I am driven by the vision of the organization, and the energy of the volunteers to achieve our goal of one million surgeries per year by 2030. We have had the fortune of visiting several Sankara and Partner hospitals in India. Every visit energizes us and reinforces our belief that we are a part of a game-changing movement. Personally, Sankara has been an integral part of our family, and it has helped us learn the importance of selfless service” she says.

In her career outside SEF, USA, Padma is an experienced software engineer with Microsoft.

I will continue to collaborate with the team to drive Vision 2030 towards reality.
