The Poona Blind Men’s Association’s (PBMA) Shankarseth Sabale Eye Hospital is a brand new eye hospital project primarily supported by the Sankara Eye Foundation, USA in the underserved district of Solapur, Maharashtra.

The new facility will be operational in 2025 and will have an annual free surgery capacity of 20,000. It will be spread over a total area of 54,000 sq. feet on a two-acre parcel of land. It will have 110 beds for free patients and 20 for paying patients.
The Sankarseth Sable Eye Hospital will serve the districts of North & South Sholapur, Akkalkot, Barshi, Mangalwedha, Pandharpur, Sangola, Malshiras, Mohol, Madha, Karmala, with a total population of 4,317,756.
